Zero Oil -Cabbage Dry Curry

Cabbage is one type of a vegetable which not much of us eat , but studies have shown that cabbage has a lot of health benefits compared to many other vegetables. Cabbage could be added in soups or could be made as a standalone curry or dish. Cabbage is called the "Drug of poor" did you know this ? even i did not ! just read an article in web and knew this. In this recipe i have not used oil at all !!!! so that we can fully enjoy and dig in with out guilt :)

Ingredients



1) Cabbage - 2 Cups of finely chopped cabbage

2) Coconut - 4 tsp of grated coconut

3) Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp

4) Red Chilly Powder - 1/2 tsp

5) Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp

6) salt - 1/2 tsp

7) Curry Leaves - 7-8 leaves

8) Ginger - Grated Ginger ( or crushed ginger) 1/4 tsp

9) Water - 5-6 tsp of water

Cabbage is rich in glutamine , Vitamin C and amino acids.Cabbage has  anti – inflammatory properties .Cabbage is also known as lactic acid that acts to disinfect colon.Cabbage can also be used to relieve headaches.Another benefit of cabbage is its anti-cancer properties and is also said to be capable of treating other skin conditions.Drinking cabbage juice from the stem is a good cure for ulcers.

Some of the chemicals contained in the cabbage are also believed to accelerate the body’s metabolism of estrogen and therefore reduce the incidence of breast, uterine and ovarian cancer.
