                        Coriander Rice ï»¿



 

My mom use to make every effort to make me eat healthy food.She use to try different methods of cooking a vegetable which i use to avoid, to make it yummy. She use to add color to cooked rice by adding contrasting and colorful vegetables. Now it's my turn, and my son just loved this recipe.

Serves one 

Preparation time : 15 minutes

Ingredients 

​

1) 1 tsp of Channa dal.

2) 1 tsp of Urad dal

3) 2 tsp of Vegetable oil or ghee

4) 1/4 tsp of mustard seeds

5)  coriander leaves ( 3- 4 stems)

6)  2  in quantity green chilies

7) 1/2 tsp of  lemon juice

8) 1/2 cup chopped onions

9) 1 cup of cooked rice

10) 1/2 tsp of salt 

11) 2-3 tsp of water



​Health Benefits :Coriander is  a source of iron, magnesium, and is helpful in fighting anemia, diarrhea,wards of infections in urinary tract and is an excellent fiber.It has a number of health benefits including properties of booting immune. when combined with rice it meets the need of fiber and carbohydrates.
