Sheer Khurma ï»¿

​I use to make Kheer at home with vermicelli, how ever did not know much about Falooda Vermicelli which is thinner version of kheer vermicelli. Sheer Khurma a traditional dessert/breakfast served after EID prayer is made with Falooda vermicelli. Sheer means milk and Khurma means dates in Urdu.Just thought would try making it at home ,since my husband and kid loved this thought to share this recipe.

Ingredients 



1) Milk - 500 ml

2) Falooda Vermicelli ( Thin Vermicelli) - 50 gm

3) Sugar - 1 Cup

4) Cardamom - 4-5 for flavoring

5) Dates - 4-5

6) Badam/Cashew/Raisins - 1-2 tbsp for garnishing

7) Ghee - 2 tbsp

Health Benefits 



Vermicelli is commonly made of rice, hence is rich in carbohydrates. Milk has good nutritive value 

in terms of calcium and protein. Dates are a good source of Iron, magnesium and other minerals.

It aids healthy heart and is a laxative food contains natural fiber.Almonds have good Vitamin E 

content along with other minerals. Cashew and raisins also have good nutritive values such as it aids

hair and skin health.
