Beaten Rice Balls 

Beaten rice or flattened rice or Poha is nothing  but beaten rice flakes. It  is a very healthy breakfast. Poha or rice flakes has the capacity to absorb lots of water when it is soaked and when cooked it leaves your stomach feeling full so you will not feel hunger pangs after a couple of hours.Mostly we use beaten rice for making  upma or for making Chivda.

I'm sure you will love this recipe which is different , could be made as snacks in the evening or you can send them as school snack for your kid. It tastes yummy and is crispy outside and soft inside. 

Ingredients



1) Beaten Rice (Poha) - 1 Cup

2) Besan - 3 tsp

3) Onion - 1/4 Cup of chopped Onion

4) Mint and Curry leaves - 2-3 tsp chopped leaves

5) Ginger - 1 tsp grated ginger

6) Red Chilly Powder - 1/2 tsp

7) Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp

8) Pepper Powder - a pinch

9) Salt - 1/2 tsp

10) Water - 1/2 Cup

11) Refined Vegetable oil - Enough oil for Shallow frying the beaten rice balls.
