Broken Wheat Vegetable Pilaf
Pilaf ( In India its commonly called Pulav) is a dish made of rice, where rice is cooked in a spice mix with vegetables or meat. Just tried out Pilaf with Broken Wheat (Dahlia).
Ingredients

1) Broken Wheat - 1 Cup
2) Chopped Vegetables - 2 Cups ( carrot, beans, capsicum,onion, tomato, spinach)
3) Spice Mix - ( 2 star anise, 2 cardamom, 2 pepper cones, 2 cinnamon sticks and few khas khas)
4) Red Chilly powder - 1/4 tsp
5) Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
6) Salt - 1/2tsp
7) Turmeric powder - a pinch
8) Vegetable Oil - 2 tsp
9) Water - 1 and 1/2 Cup

While adding vegetables to this dish it adds nutritive value imparting several minerals and vitamins.
Take a cooking vessel and add 2tsp of vegetable oil.once oil is hot , add the spice mix. Give it a stir.
Add Chopped vegetables and saute till onions turn transparent
You can serve with sprinkled spring onions and coriander leaves
