Wheat Grass Carrot Smoothie

My husband got me wheat grass pod. We watered them and now it's ready to be trimmed. While he gave me the pod he told me that you can make wheat grass juice once it grows up and its healthy. Once the grass grew up i plucked couple of them and tried tasting them , it tasted little bitter. I started surfing its benefits, it did give me lots of health benefits. One best way to consume wheat grass is to simply add water and wheat grass in a blender and make a juice of it and drink it early morning, however the idea of having something bitter wasn't tempting enough. I saw lots of milk shake, smoothie recipes with berries and apricots with wheat grass. I did not have the ingredients  in my shelf. I tried making smoothie with banana and wheat grass however it was unsuccessful. The resulting smoothie was unusually tasting bitter.Then i thought why don't i try a combination of  carrots with wheat grass  which i had plenty. To my surprise it worked out, may be because the bitterness of wheat grass balanced with sweetness of carrot, or the amount of carrot i added balanced the taste. I loved the Smoothie and would positively try this again once my wheat grass is ready again :)

Ingredients



1)  Wheat grass - 1/4 cup of chopped wheat grass

2) Carrots - 100 gm

3) Milk - 1 Cup

4) Jaggery - 3-4 tsp of grated Jaggery
